Amazing Argentina & Brasil Iguazu Falls

Roundtravel 26 days Argentina by bus, rental car & domestic flights. From 2750 Euros pp (incl. car rental 15 days, Chevrolet Corsa, 5 doors) with a minimum of 2 persons, excl. domestic / international flights. All mentioned excursions are included with English speaking guides.

The accommodations for this travel program are based using quaint typical Argentinean hotels, special estancias, up to among the best accommodation available.

Day 1: Arrival Buenos Aires, transfer into an original & luxury Art hotel in the Palermo- Recoleta Barrio Norte area.

Day 2: A leisure day. Dinner and a Tango Show at Esquina Carlos Gardel.

Day 3: Flight to Posadas. Arrival and private transfer from the airport to the Posada Ypa Sapukai (Colonia Pellegrini - 200 km) in the middle of the Ibera marshes. Free afternoon in the Posada. (www.ypasapukai.com.ar)

Day 4 & 5: Full day boat trip & wildlife observation. Second day guided walking excursion or horse back ride.

Day 6: Private transfer to Posadas. Travel by bus from Posadas to Iguazú including full day regular excursion Minas de Wanda & San Ignacion Ruins with local guide. Accommodation in Iguazu at Hotel Sheraton with Iguazu Falls view.

Day 7: Excursion Argentinian side of the falls with local guide and great adventure navigation excursion in boat at midday.

Day 8: Private transfer from Argentina to Brasil in the morning time to for a visit to the best Latin American Bird Park and/or to book a helicopter flight. Midday private tropical forest excursion, walk, wildlife watching at oxbow lake & canoeing upstream of Iguazu falls. Accommodation in the best hotel of the falls: Hotel Das Cataratas in the middle of the Brasilian Iguazu NP.

Day 9: Free relaxing day on Brazilian side. Hotel Das Cataratas.

Day 10: Private transfer from the hotel to the Argentinean airport. Flight to Buenos Aires, transfer to luxury Art hotel in Palermo.

Day 11: Domestic flight to Rioja. Pick up rental car, start Andes journey and drive to Valle Fertil.

Day 12: Full day to visit the natural wonders & dinosaurs of NP Ischigualasto.

Day 13: Visit NP Talampaya, Moonvalley and continue to Belen.

Day 14: Drive to visit Parque de los Menhires & indigenous ruins of Quilmes.

D ay 15: Drive to the wineyards of Cafayate. Time to visit several famous wine bodegas. Overnight in Hotel Killa (www.killacafayate.com.ar).

Day 16: Full day private excursion with local guide to visit pre-Inca petroglyps, the canyon Rio Colorado & midday walk in las Conchas.

Day 17: Drive to the most beautiful indigenous village of Argentina, Cachi. Travel through Valles Calchaquies. Overnight in Hotel Cortijo. NB in the wet season from Jan-March you drive to Salta directly. (www.elcortijohotel.com).

Day 18: In morning a private walk with a local guide through valley Cachi Adentro, visit local people & historic sites. Free after midday to visit Cachi & surrounding area.

Day 19: Drive to Salta. Overnight at top estancia House of Jasmines. (www.houseofjasmines.com)

D ay 20: Free day to relax, ride horse on the estancia and/or visit Salta.

Day 21: Drive to Toro canyon to San Antonio de los Cobres. Overnight at Hosteria Las Nubes.

Day 23: Free cultural day to visit Tilcara & Humahuaca canyon, and take a walk at sunset through the colored hills of Purmamarca.

Day 24: Lama trekking full day program with Caravana de Llamas.

Other individual Argentina travels:

Self drive programs exploring the Andean landscapes & historical sites of Salta & Tucuman. From 7 up to 12 days, starting from 550 Euro up to 1100 Euro pp, with charming typical hotels, and/or excellent top accommodations at famous estancias Colomé, House of Jasmines, and Cafayate wine bodegas.

Treks on foot or by horse, guided by local gauchos. Starting from near Cachi, following rivers, canyons, crossing passes at high altitude, following old Inca trails and ending in the Toro canyon. It also may give you the possibility of experiencing life on a remote finca in the mountains.
